Elementary Education degree from Northern Illinois University.
I began teaching at St.Francis de Sales as a substitute teacher in 1999. Prior to that I taught at the child care center at Waubonsee Community College where I received my Associates degree, led the school age program at a daycare in Illinois while I attended Northern Illinois University and received my Bachelors Degree, and then taught for three years at Two Rivers Head Start. I was the director at Rainbow Daycare for its final year of operation before I came to SFdS as a substitute. When Rainbow closed, I began substitute teaching and then accepted a full time position teaching the ¾ grade combination class for the 1999/2000 school year. I continued teaching the third and fourth grade students until 2017 when SFdS changed to single grade classes and I took the fourth grade only. I was reassigned to the middle school math position in 2018, where I taught until 2021. The 2020-2021 school year led me into the fifth grade classroom, where I taught for one year. I took the first grade teaching position for the 2022-2023 school year where I am currently learning all the things I have missed over the past 20-something years.
