My name is Mary Langland. I am the eighth grade homeroom teacher, and I also teach English Language Arts for grades 6th through 8th and Religion to grade 6. I believe that all my students can learn their lessons; knowing that they are each very capable, and appreciated for who they are.
I graduated from UW - River Falls in 1980 with a BS in Elementary Education, and a minor in Geography. I have taught in WI, MD, ND, and overseas in a DODDS school in Turkey. This is my 20th year teaching at St. Francis de Sales.
I have six grown children, and nine grandchildren. I run a small hobby farm; made up of eighteen sheep, one alpaca, two little pigs, a spoiled standard poodle, a small parrot, and six rescued stray cats that I couldn’t turn away when over time, they turned up here, hungry and homeless. The past couple summers my daughter and I have worked with a hive of bees, too.
I spend my free time with my Family and my Animals. I like to read, and I like to embroider when I get a chance. I like to travel, and hope that someday I will be able to travel all over the world.
